چکیده

Many databases in life sciences have been provided in Resource Description Framework (RDF) with their SPARQL endpoints. To support a user in constructing SPARQL queries, we developed a service called SPARQL Builder. Although SPARQL Builder makes a user write a query for obtaining data from LOD, empty results or incorrect data might be retrieved by the query if the SPARQL endpoint for the query is not alive or provides out-of-date data. To avoid such queries from SPARQL Builder, YummyData which monitors SPARQL endpoints and gathers information about alive rate, last update, response time, etc. was used. By connecting YummyData to SPARQL Builder, our system can always obtain a SPARQL query for SPARQL endpoints with high usability.

How Good Is Your SPARQL Endpoint? - A QoS-Aware SPARQL Endpoint Monitoring and Data Source Selection Mechanism for Federated SPARQL Queries

Due to the decentralised and autonomous architecture of the Web of Data, data replication and local deployment of SPARQL endpoints is inevitable. Nowadays, it is common to have multiple copies of the same dataset accessible by various SPARQL endpoints, thus leading to the problem of selecting optimal data source for a user query based on data properties and requirements of the user or the appli...

SpEnD: Linked Data SPARQL Endpoints Discovery Using Search Engines

Linked data endpoints are online query gateways to semantically annotated linked data sources. In order to query these data sources, SPARQL query language is used as a standard. Although a linked data endpoint (i.e. SPARQL endpoint) is a basic Web service, it provides a platform for federated online querying and data linking methods. For linked data consumers, SPARQL endpoint availability and d...

Scheduling for SPARQL Endpoints

When providing public access to data on the Semantic Web, publishers have various options that include downloadable dumps, Web APIs, and SPARQL endpoints. Each of these methods is most suitable for particular scenarios. SPARQL provides the richest access capabilities and is the most suitable option when granular access to the data is needed. However, SPARQL expressivity comes at the expense of ...

SPARQL-LD: a SPARQL Extension for Fetching and Querying Linked Data

SPARQL is a standard query language for retrieving and manipulating RDF data. However, the majority of SPARQL implementations require the data to be available in advance, i.e., to exist in main memory or in a RDF repository (accessible through a SPARQL endpoint). Nonetheless, Linked Data exists in the Web in various forms; even an HTML Web page can contain RDF data through RDFa, or RDF data may...

To SCRY Linked Data: Extending SPARQL the Easy Way

Scientific communities are increasingly publishing datasets on the Web following the Linked Data principles, storing RDF graphs in triplestores and making them available for querying through SPARQL. However, solving domain-specific problems often relies on information that cannot be included in such triplestores. For example, it is virtually impossible to foresee, and precompute, all statistica...
